Su Xin followed suit and saluted as well. Qu Feiqing made eye contact with Qu Feiyun, her eyes flashing with a hint of annoyance, and looked at Su Xin with a calm face, feeling slightly jealous.
Qu Feiqing remembered Su Xin’s unfinished words that night, feeling as though she had a thorn in her heart, she felt uncomfortable and alarmed when she thought of it.
Qu Feiqing looked at Qu Feiyun, who was sitting obediently again. Her imperial sister’s temperament was a little bit jumpy, just like an energetic rabbit that could never stop and was jumping all the time. Qu Feiyun lived quite a carefree life and was very indulgent.
Qu Feiqing didn’t meddle in Qu Feiyun’s everyday affairs. As long as she didn’t do anything out of line, Qu Feiqing let her be.
Qu Feiyun was sixteen years old, about the same age as Su Xin.
Qu Feiqing was seven years older than Su Xin, and Su Xin had rejected Qu Feiqing that day. Although Qu Feiqing knew that she was prettier and better than Qu Feiyun, it wasn’t impossible for Su Xin to be attracted to Qu Feiyun was it?
Su Xin looked at the Empress gloomily, with raised eyes and Qu Feiqing looked back at her with the same gloomy eyes filled with doubt.
“Qu Feiyun, you are a princess and your appearance is really out of royal demeanor. Go back and copy the “Female principles and commandments for women” twice, and show them to me.”
Qu Feiyun wanted to shrink herself to the size of a quail in front of her sister’s sight.
“Empress Sister…I know what I did was wrong… but can’t adults have an exemption for copying so many times?”
Qu Feiyun internally grieved, she mainly used her free time to indulge herself in laughter and fun in the imperial gardens. Who would have known that she would be so unlucky to cross paths with the Empress, who also came out to relax today, and now she can’t laugh anymore.
“Do you wish to copy it three times?”
Qu Feiqing didn’t like it when others tried to bargain their way with her.
“Chen Mei understands, so I shall go and copy down the book with great concentration.”
Qu Feiyun lowered her head and weakly followed Qu Feiqing’s orders.
Two books, two times each, Qu Feiyun felt as though her hands were going to break at the mere thought of it.
“Honoured musician, I’m leaving now. Till we meet again.”
Qu Feiyun waved to Su Xin, and walked out in a dignified manner.
Su Xin understood the intimidating aura Qu Feiqing emanated to the people in the palace, she seemed to be feared by all.
Even the nephew was so sensitive to her breath that he couldn’t help but shiver when she approached.
And when Qu Feiyun heard Qu Feiqing’s voice, her expression of carefree laughter was reduced in a second and she put on a serious mask.
“This Empress has underestimated you, in just a few days, you have met my nephew and sister, and even become familiar with them.”
Qu Feiqing walked into the pavilion and sat where Qu Feiyun had just sat, very close to Su Xin.
“It is all because of your Majesty’s blessing. If your Majesty hadn’t brought me here, how could they be interested in me?”
Su Xin praised Qu Feiqing, her tone quite cheerful.
“As I said, I am only here for your Majesty and no one else is my focus.”
Su Xin looked at Qu Feiqing with a sincere expression.
Qu Feiqing slightly opened her eyes, feeling like needles were pricking her heart.
She wondered: why did she bring this girl into her territory?
It was because of Su Xin’s smile.
It was a smile exuding an aura similar to hers, but Qu Feiqing never saw it again.
A horrible idea entered Qu Feiqing’s head, was it because of that night that she was more guarded with her feelings?
Qu Feiqing didn’t care about it but she couldn’t take Su Xin’s feelings lightly.
“Why did your Majesty come out to stroll around this time?”
Su Xin supported her head on her hands and looked at Qu Feiqing. The Imperial Garden looked as beautiful as ever and was indeed made for royalty. It was well maintained, and it made people happy when they looked at it.
Qu Feiqing hadn’t intended to voice her problems. After all, it was useless to talk about it, but seeing Su Xin’s appearance, Qu Feiqing had the sudden impulse to confide in her.
“Those officials want to force this Empress to take on an Imperial concubine.”
Su Xin imagined a group of enchanting men who waved their handkerchiefs proactively at a cold-faced Qu Feiqing. Su Xin couldn’t bear to look directly at Qu Feiqing and laughed out loud.
“Are you happy?”
Qu Feiqing’s voice became colder the less jealous Su Xin was.
“It’s hard to imagine.”
Su Xin shrugged. The probability of Qu Feiqing taking a concubine, according to the information she knew, was zero.
It was impossible for Qu Feiqing to let a man touch her, afterall it was her worst fear.
Qu Feiqing’s name as the first beauty in the Four Kingdoms was not a mere name. She had been very beautiful since she was a child. She was very pretty and cute, resembling a small dumpling, so she became very popular.
But she stayed in the cold palace, led a neglected life and dressed in a very old fashioned way.
One day, a six year old Qu Feiqing ran out of the cold palace to play, when she bumped into an imperial guard, who was a pedophile. The guard asked her where she was from and Qu Feiqing answered that it was one of the palaces. The guard had thought that she was a girl raised by one of the palace maids who served in the palace. He seized Qu Feiqing roughly, wanting to be lustful after seeing her childlike innocence.
Meanwhile Qu Feiqing’s mother had been looking for her for a while and came outside. To her horror she saw Qu Feiqing vigorously struggling as a man held her down.
That was the first time Qu Feiqing saw blood. Qu Feiqing’s mother did not want to talk about what happened. After all, even if she was a child, Qu Feiqing still had a reputation to maintain.
Qu Feiqing’s mother calmly and quietly killed the guard and left with Qu Feiqing.
Qu Feiqing always remembered what her Mother told her at that time. As she was trembling in her Mother’s arms, she had said, “Men are very, very filthy.”
Since then, Qu Feiqing has become more indifferent and began to hate all the men in the world.
“If you are unwilling to, then simply don’t marry.”
Su Xin said plainly to Qu Feiqing, once she had laughed enough.
“You are the Empress, the most powerful, why should you listen to them if you don’t want to.”
Su Xin poured a cup of tea and handed it to Qu Feiqing.
When you are the Ruler, you can simply kill and take or leave it. No matter what, everything is up to you.
Qu Feiqing smiled, sipping the tea in the teacup.
The flowers in the Royal Garden were nothing compared to Qu Feiqing’s smile. Su Xin tilted her head and looked at her in fascination.
“Your Majesty, you are very good looking.”
Qu Feiqing put down her teacup in surprise and accepted the sudden compliment.
Qu Feiqing saw Su Xin leaning towards her side and slowly inching closer towards her. Qu Feiqing could smell the faint fragrance of her body and a lighter smell of medicine.
Soon they were both very close to each other and Su Xin leaned close to Qu Feiqing’s ear.
“Your Majesty, I want to sleep with you again.”
“You make me feel so good. I want to take care of you.”
“And I want to hold you and also be held by you in return.”
[…… Being so lewd early in the morning, makes the world go downhill]
Fourteen was shocked by Su Xin’s shamelessness. How can anyone say such lines so naturally?
Feeling the moist breath in her ear, and her heart beating like a drum, Qu Feiqing squeezed the corners of her clothes tightly.
Su Xin finally moved away from Qu Feiqing’s ear and leaned in front of her again, winking at her.
Qu Feiqing laughed, with a dangerous aura surrounding her.
Qu Feiqing gritted her teeth and in her heart, she thought internally that this time Su Xin delivered herself to her door. If Su Xin says the same heartless thing as last time, then she shouldn’t blame Qu Feiqing if she gets angry.
The present Empress Qu Feiqing was just as narrow minded as Su Xin.
